Accessories: Reusable Wristbands

June 22, 2008 – 12:35 pm

Reusable wristbands are generally made out of plastic with a metal snap-on fastener. This allows for them to be taken on and off without damaging the band. They are best used when it does not matter if people can transfer the wristbands to others.

For security reasons, reusable wristbands should not be given out for age identification. Age identification is most often used for purposes of purchasing alcoholic beverages. Someone can easily slip off reusable wristbands and give them to someone else, so there is no guarantee that the reusable wristbands will stay on the people you gave them to.

Elastic Reusable Wristbands
Another type of reusable wristbands are elastic ones. These are usually made out of wire or fabric with an elastic string. These are not very practical for large events, but can be used for things like carnivals or the circus.

These bands tend to break easily because people will often fiddle with them. Other types of wristbands tend to become unnoticeable on the arm, but elastic ones are a bit tighter, so people will likely be moving them around a lot. This causes quite of a few of them to break, at which point they arent re-usable any longer and you will need to reissue one to any customer who has already paid.
